Last week was a reminder on how I can't live on 3 hours of sleep/night like I did on college; I don't like that feeling of getting older. I am still trying to catch up from the lack of shut eye I got last week.
The week started Monday night when we decided to have a Bachelorette watching party turned into Anya's baby shower. She didn't want a shower so we got together with food, gifts and the Bachelorette. That is how we got her to come over. Darren even watched it with us, something I never thought he would be caught dead doing. Good sport! (Kelly- not pictured & Greg Moody, Anya & Blake Young, me and D, Madelyn and Mike O'Farrell)
Tuesday was sewing night, where a group of girls get together and sew to their hearts content. I have been working on this diaper bag for months with long breaks in between. I finally finished it, I am obviously not in any hurry. Now it will sit in storage until I have use for it.

I then headed to the theater to meet Darren and some friends for the midnight premier of the second Transformers movie. Didn't love it, but it was entertaining. It was a long movie and caused me to go to bed at 3:30 am when I had to work the next morning. Not a good ideadon't we look tired? we should have taken the picture before the show, not at 3 in the morning
The next day was a long, very tiring day, but instead of going home to sleep, I met friends at the park for a Movie in the Park. I had a hard time staying awake, but it was too fun to pass up. The movie was "Iron Man" and Darren and Niko joined in the fun.

Thursday wasn't helpful when I had to work until 11:00 pm at an event and then I had to be to work at 7:30 am for another event on Friday morning.
I left work early to head up to girl's camp. I pretty much jumped into a canoe when I arrived to paddle around the lake with the girls. I couldn't get over the beauty of the place. It was very spiritual. At camp, there is dancing, singing, eating, playing, testimonies, and of course, no sleep. I only had one YW up there from our ward. Dana is such a doll and I just love her to pieces! Our sweet bishop came up to have a small fireside. He is so dedicated to the youth, such an amazing man!

On Saturday morning we woke up early to clean the camp and drive home. On my way I felt exhausted and wanted to sleep, but instead of napping when I got home, we got an invite to go boating. The weather was perfect, we haven't gone yet this year, so I couldn't pass it up. We took Niko along and it was awesome! We wake boarded on the Allegheny River and it was beautiful!

After boating we ended up at our friend's house for pizza and games. I was surprisingly full of energy and had fun. But by the time I got home, I crashed and slept like a log until 11:30 Sunday morning. I missed my meeting (how bad of a YW president am I?) oops. After church we went with our friends Jacque & Becky to watch them be baptized into their church. It was neat to see their spirituality and witness other people's testimonies of God when belonging to other faiths. Its so great that even though there are so many different churches out there, we can all find our way to God. Thanks to Jacque and Becky for sharing this with us! It was the perfect ending to my week.
Now, how do I catch up on the sleep deprivation?

I'm tired for you! What a fun, busy week. And, you're the cutest Young Women's president around! Hope you can catch up on some sleep this week.
xoxo
Yikes. I would be dead after one night of being up late, let alone a week of late nights!!!
And I really, really want to know how you made that diaper bag. It is so dang cute that it makes me want to start thinking about sewing. But alas, I have no skill with a needle and thread and, well, no sewing machine.
(I didn't know you were YW president?!? I am sure you are a fabulous leader and the girls love you!)
Um, HELLO????? I can't believe how busy you are, but how fun your life is! I hope you're enjoying every minute of it!
Hello, who says you don't know how to sew???? That diaper bag is darling--you did a great job!
And also hello??? You're the YW President???? How do you pull that off? I'm tired just reading your blog!
Oh wow, I only knew about half the stuff you did last week and I still thought you did a lot of stuff! You have an insane amount of energy, take a break! Looks like you had tons of fun though!
Okay I don't think that you will ever cease to amaze me. I think you are one of the neatest girls ever!!
I'm with Annie - I'm tired just reading your post. And you really are the cutest this EVER.
I just posted on my blog, then came to read this. I love that you said how spiritual the beautiful surroundings were. I said the same thing in my post while writing about a rainbow. We really are secret twin sisters. Maybe you should move back to Utah so we can be closer?
And I LOVE your diaper bag!!!
